Portobello Road Gin has created the first London Dry Gin made with British asparagus. The team behind the gin wanted to produce a gin where they could hand-source the botanicals themselves, so have created a limited edition with a unique blend of Cambridgeshire asparagus, juniper berries, Gentian root, cassia bark, nutmeg, lemon and orange peel. It is distilled, bottled and labelled by hand at the second smallest museum - the Ginstitute - on Portobello Road in London. 1,000 bottles of this distinctively nutty-flavoured spirit will be available from October for £39.00. The ABV is a punchy 47%. (And to the obvious question, they say it doesn't!)
