Half Hitch: The G&Tea Gin

A new gin has been launched to celebrate Camden Lock's past industrial gin glory. Once the heart of London's distilling and warehousing, with street names such as Juniper Crescent, it is now where Half Hitch Gin is distilled. The gin's name and bottle label originate from the rope knot used by those mooring up their barges along the Camden Lock since the 19th Century - 'a round turn and two half hitches'. Half Hitch is distilled in The Vaults, Camden Lock, with the time-intensive heritage craft combined with modern-day vacuum distillation. Unusual botanicals include bergamot and black tea. It is 40% ABV and retails at £39.00 for a 70cl bottle.
