A new London Dry gin called Hawthorn's has been launched in the UK with the aim of disrupting the own-brand and big-brand gin scene. Created by spirits innovators 180 East, they say nobody is producing a gin that comes close to the quality of Hawthorn's for the same price - £18 for a 70cl bottle with an ABV of 41%. Distilled with 10 botanicals from across the globe - Macedonia, Sri Lanka and Indonesia for example - it is touted as offering the highest quality taste for the price. The team believes Hawthorn's is the best gin based on pound-per-ml and is ready to take supermarkets by storm.
