New Scottish Gin Distilled in American Oak

Gleann Mor Spirits Company, the independent Scotch whisky bottler, has launched Firkin Gin, which introduces delicate hints of whisky to a traditional gin base. The team asserts that with whisky and gin two of their favourite things, they were keen to experiment with a slow maturation process for gin in American oak whisky casks. The result is an interesting combination of toffee and oaky flavours, and a unique colour untypical of gin. Firkin Gin is released in limited batches of 100 bottles at 46% ABV. It retails at £45 for 70cl.
