Cadenhead Old Raj Red

Founded in Scotland in 1842, William Cadenhead Ltd is the country's oldest independent bottler. Old Raj Gin is distinctive in that it contains a measure of saffron, the rare (and costly) spice of the crocus. This imparts a spicy flavour and pale yellow colour. After the distillation of the first eight botanicals, saffron is added; this is because the saffron would be lost in distillation. (This is similar to the way in which Hendrick’s adds cucumber and rose oil to its gin post-distillation.) Also available is Old Raj Blue at 55%.

Distilled in Girvan, Ayrshire, Scotland.

Drink gin responsibly. Ginebriation is not a good look.
