The first distillery in The Borders in 180 years, the Kelso Gin Company is keen to reflect the changing nature and seasons of Scottish Borders, using natural and locally foraged ingredients. The Kelso Elephant Gin is inspired by fokelore that an elephant is buried under Kelso Square. The gin is strong on flavour and uses spices gathered from orient, mixed with local ingredients, and works well with ginger ale or tonic. Only the heart of the spirit is used in making the gin.
