The North Uist Distillery team uses a high volume of wild botanicals to give big, bold flavours. The spirit is clear in the bottle then turns cloudy in the glass when tonic and ice are added. This louching effect is a visible haze caused by the botanicals’ essential oils being released in a fragrant flavour cloud.Â
