Gin Cocktail Winners

Two gin cocktail winners to report: Tom Theuremeister of the Lost Angel in Battersea, London, was named Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin's winning bartender. His cocktail, Sahara Zahara, consists of infusing Opihr Gin with cactus pear fruit, shaking it with floral rose yoghurt, adding a squeeze of lime and local honey, serve in a cup and saucer with a prickly pear on the side. All the ingredients were sourced during a two-hour dash around the Souk. The second winner is Wayne Chapman of City Social, also in London, who scooped the winning cocktail in the recent Berry Bros & Rudd competition to create an 'English Garden Twist' using their No 3 London Dry Gin. Inspired by Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit, the winning combination featured homemade clementine cordial along with a carrot and ginger puree, finished with a pinch of carrot salt.
